About Chef Volker

Volker’s culinary journey began in the heart of his mum’s kitchen in Germany, where the scent of slow-cooked roasts, freshly baked breads, and lovingly prepared meals sparked a lifelong passion. Inspired by the traditions of his heritage and his mother’s intuitive, flavour-driven cooking, he began his professional career at just 15 years old - and he hasn’t looked back since.

His talent and dedication for creating and sharing delicious food have taken him across the globe, where he has led world-class kitchen brigades and crafted memorable dining experiences for royalty and rock stars. Volker has cooked in kitchens across the UK and Ireland, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and brings to the table a deep respect for tradition and seasonality, and precision and flair to every plate.
